Living a healthy lifestyle isn’t easy. It takes dedication, education, and constant re-learning and adjusting. So whenever I can simplify the process – I do.

I reached out to a few insanely motivating and dedicated friends of mine to find out, “What health hacks make your life easier?” And now I’m here to share them with you! So give one, or all, of them a try and let me know what you find!

Have a health hack of your own? I’d love to hear it! Drop it in the comments below.

When I have to do cardio, I start a show on Netflix and only let myself watch it while completing cardio. If I want to find out what happens next – I’ve got to get moving. Devin Wilmott, 23, Personal Trainer and Entrepreneur

When I train, I count to 3 or 4 reps no matter how many reps I am doing per set. I break down my sets into smaller sets so I’m not thinking, “Still 12 more to go…” It’s just three sets of 4. Everything is about setting small goals that build into bigger goals. Brian Pickowicz, 23, Fitness-lifestyle Coach & Competitor

When I get the chance to, I love to read before I workout. It clears my head and helps me zone in on my workout once I go hit the weights. I enjoy listening to podcasts and/or Youtube videos too. I most often listen to other people that I look up to in the fitness world, so I can learn while doing cardio or lifting. Sarah Schwendemann, 24, Bodybuilder

I like to jump rope or do jump squats between sets of lifts to keep my heart rate up and my blood pumping. Life gets busy, so I don’t have hours to spend in the gym each day. By doing this I’m able to burn a few extra calories and keep my muscles warm. Plus — then I can spend less time on traditional cardio. Kaili Meyer, 22, Blogger and Dog Enthusiast

I always add spinach to my smoothies. Seriously, I barely even notice and I get a super head start on my veggies every morning. God bless whoever discovered that! Hannah Marsh, 24, Writer and Dog Enthusiast

If I just ate but I’m still really hungry, I chug a glass of water and it makes me feel full. Plus – it helps you reach your hydration quota for the day. Sara Heywood, 23, Olympic Weightlifter and Powerlifter

I usually have a lot of cravings for chocolate or something sweet. So I like to buy a big candy bar and have a square each night. Find something that you really crave and make time in your schedule to enjoy it. That way you’re not tempted to binge on it later. Devin Wilmott, 23, Personal Trainer and Entrepreneur

When trying to lose weight or maintain a healthy look, you have to be cautious over your caloric intake and it’s so easy to take in so many extra calories in drinks without realizing it. For example, growing up I always thought Gatorade was for athletes for some reason. It has soooo many carbs in just one drink! A lot of people will have a few of those a day and not realize what it’s doing, I always just stick to water or anything zero calories. Kevin Lisak, 25, Personal Trainer and Entrepreneur

I set a time each night where I completely stop doing or worrying about anything school or work related so I can unwind. This is typically 9:00 for me, but it varies by the day. Scott Edmundson, 23, Olympic Weightlifter

Come up with a morning routine that sets you up for success. What you do and think about in the first 20 minutes of waking up effects your entire day! Mine looks like: waking up around 4:30, reading my devotionals, journaling, saying my prayers, reading 10 pages of my current book, looking at my plans for the day, and then working out. Wendy Broich, 23, Fitness Enthusiast, Foodie, and Traveler

Always set aside AT LEAST 15 minutes first thing in the morning to be still before starting your day — the miracle morning legit changed my life. Maddie Cowan, 26, Mom, Wife, & Health and Fitness Unicorn

I love affirmations/creative visualization! I wholeheartedly believe affirmations can help you manifest what you want to create in your life. I usually write mine down in a notebook solely dedicated to affirmations/creative visualization. Chloe Lansing, 24, Powerlifter
