Reminders For When You’re Feeling Stuck

There will be days when you’re not feeling your best, you’re feeling behind, you’re lost, confused, and frustrated. Next time you find yourself in that rut, read these reminders.

Not every day can be your best day, but you can do your best every day. Show up. Be kind. Do the work. Rest. To have “best days” you’ll have days that don’t quite measure up, and that’s OK.

Rest is as important as work. The body and the mind need rest in order to function optimally. When you stop viewing rest as a negative thing and start viewing it as nourishment, you’ll begin to enjoy your downtime.

You’re alive to do more than work. At some point, you need to stop and enjoy the life you’ve created. You don’t always have to be on the go. And sometimes the Universe presses pause to get you to smell the roses.

No one but you decides if you’ve made it. Comparison is the ultimate killer of joy. You will always feel behind if you’re continuously watching the feet five steps ahead of you. Focus on your own goals, go your own speed, and set your own definition of success.

It’s OK to not know your next step. Part of the process is figuring it out. Don’t let frustration cause you to panic, turn around, or give up. Recognize your current place in the process and open yourself up to what the situation is teaching you.
